What’s a process group?

This type of group (my favorite to lead) is guided by the content its group members bring in, rather than curriculum. This provides a rich environment for experiencing and understanding group dynamics and how you show up in the system.

This group is for you

if you’re experiencing:

* unsatisfying relationships

* feeling stuck in old patterns

* anxiety/depression despite efforts to heal

* difficulties related to your complicated childhood or relational trauma

* Meet Jessica Chavolla — licensed professional counselor who loves group work, with 10 years of experience in trauma and addiction recovery

* Healing House — Make yourself at home

 FAQs

  • Group is a great, low pressure and safe place to work on your social anxiety! Also, it is VERY normal to be worried about who will be in group and whether you’ll get along well. Just imagine everyone else is worried about the same thing. Give yourself the chance to try it out!

  • This is an hour long, weekly process group—this frequency is what I’ve found to be the best for people’s schedules and the effectiveness of group. Group sessions cost $60 each. An initial meeting with Jessica is required for assessment, goal setting, and group guidelines at the full session rate of $150.

  • This interpersonal process group offers you the opportunity to engage with others in an honest, vulnerable, and supportive setting. Together, we will make space to explore and build:

    • Healthier relationships

    • Self-confidence and Self-worth

    • Boundary Setting Skills

    • Connection to your emotions

    • Understanding and Self-compassion

  • YES and I encourage it, if it’s available to you! If you are currently seeing a therapist, you can continue to see them and I am happy to become part of your collaborative care team. You can also see me individually while you’re engaged in group work.

Individual therapy sessions can offer much more space for your story, emotions, and reactions to the group process. I recommend it especially if you are working through struggles with disordered eating, substance use, or other process addictions.

  • This is an ongoing group that will begin when we have at least 4 members. I recommend committing to 6 sessions, and beyond that it is up to you (with my support!) to decide when you are ready to leave.

Most people experience full benefits around 6 months of group work, and many choose to update their goals and continue for more benefits!
